Here are the answers to some popular questions about Little Pie Studio and web design in general. If your question is not answered here, please use the form on the contact page with your questions or concerns.

1. QUESTION: How much will it cost me to have Little Pie Studio design my web site?

Pricing and rates vary from project to project. There are several variables that will help to determine your costs. How many pages does your site need to be? Do you have existing graphic elements or do you need those to be created for you? Will you need forms, galleries, a shopping cart? Will you supply us with copy for your site or do you need help creating your content? Check out the services page to get an idea of the base rates of our static site designs. The additional features you'd like your site to have will ultimately set the price.

2. QUESTION: I already have a site but it needs a facelift. Can you help?

Absolutely! Little Pie Studio wants to help make the most of your internet presence. Make sure you send us the URL of your current location on the web when you contact us with your project needs.

3. QUESTION: How long will it take for my site to be up and running?

The extent of your site design will help to determine the length of time it will take until it's live on the web. If you have all the site content already (copy, images, etc), then it could be just a couple weeks to get you all set up. If there's more involved in putting your site together, it will obviously be a longer process. Time management and great designer/client communication help to get you on the web as soon as possible. A time estimate is presented to every client along with the project proposal. You will be updated every step of the way!

4. QUESTION: Do you do site maintance?

Of course. Once your site is up and running, Little Pie Studio can update your site with content you provide. This cost can be included as part of the overall web design package or on an as-needed basis. Please check out the services page for information on our site maintenance rates.

5. QUESTION: I don't live anywhere near California. Will you still be able to take on my project?

Definitely. In this day and age, computers offer us the efficiency of being able to keep in close contact with each other. Emailing inquiries, sending file attachments, sharing project updates, etc. ...whether you live down the block, across the country or on the other side of the world, we can work together!

6. QUESTION: I am not very creative at all. I know what my site needs to do but I wouldn't know the first thing about where to start! How do we design my web site?

Rest assured, this is not uncommon. Often times, people know what they want to say but aren't sure how to put it into words. It works in the same way with design. Luckily, we can uncover the style of your site by learning more about yourself, your company and your subject matter. What are your goals? What feel do you want to present to your customers? Is your site supposed to be fun or serious? Don't worry. We can uncover your likes and dislikes in a variety of ways. You can even send us some URLs of sites that you like so we can start to get a feel for the mood and style you want your users to experience!

7. QUESTION: How do I pay for your web design services?

Payment for Little Pie Studios is made in three installments:

  • 1/3 of estimated project value paid as deposit when project begins
  • 1/3 of estimated project value plus 2/3 of any added services paid upon project completion
  • balance is due when project has been uploaded and has functioned successfully for 2 weeks

The forms of payment that are accepted are money orders, PayPal and personal/business checks which must clear prior to the start of your project.

8. QUESTION: Where did you get the name Little Pie Studio?

The name Little Pie Studio was inspired by our daughter, Lauren. She is our cutie pie, sweetie pie, pumpkin pie, etc. We just ended up calling her our Little Pie as it encompasses many of the things she is to us.
